      I would probably have chosen civil engineering – I like the idea of using my knowledge to build better bridges, tunnels, buildings etc.

      I’d have liked to have worked in wildlife conservation I think. I’m really fascinated by how wildlife adapt to survive in different environments.

      Maybe maths. I used to be quite good at solving equations and studied it early on at University.

      I think I probably should have been a chemical engineer rather than a chemist – I’m really only interested in things that have a really obvious application and that I can see working in the future.
      You might not let me have that, because it’s quite close to what I do now, so my other choice would be astrophysics – I found it really interesting at A level.
