With the number of planets out there I think it highly likely. What that life looks like is a different question though, will there be intelligent animals there? Or just small bacteria or other microscopic species?

I think it is quite likely. Given the billions of other galaxies out their in the Universe, and the huge numbers of stars in each galaxy, and the number of planets around each star, it strikes me that there are likely to be lots of other places that life could have arisen. Whether we will ever see them is another matter entirely.

Given the vast expanse of the Universe…you would think there was a planet somewhere with those ‘just-so’ conditions for life to evolve. So, I think it is possible.

I imagine so as the universe is quite vast. But because the conditions on another planet would be quite different from our own, it is likely to be quite a different life-form than we are able to imagine!

Yes. There are so many planets out there that the likelihood is that the conditions will be right for life on another one. It might not be life like ours – they might be aliens who breathe nitrogen!
We probably won’t hear from any of them in a really long time though. If somebody on a planet 64 million light years away looked over at Earth today, the light would have taken so long to get there that they’d see Dinosaurs. They probably wouldn’t want to come and visit!
