I had to write a big book called a thesis as part of my PhD. It was over 300 pages long, but did contain a lot of pictures. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done and I don’t think I’m quite ready to write another book yet!

I’m the same as Daren, I’ve written a thesis which was about 250 pages long. Not the kind of book you could buy in a bookshop though! We do a lot of writing as part of our jobs to report the results of our research but these tend to be much shorter, only a few pages in length.

I have written a few books, as well as my MSc and PhD thesis. The hardest books I write are for younger audiences, as I have to explain my science properly. See if you can find a copy of ‘Dinomummy’ or ‘Grave Secrets of Dinosaurs’…I have a new book coming out on July 7th this year, called ‘dino-wars’….I also write a regular blog ‘Dinosaur CSI’.

I haven’t written my thesis yet so I’ve got that joy to come! I’d love to write a book. I often find myself dreaming of stories but forget them before I get chance to write them down!
