There are 6 other people in my group who I work with every day and we have 3 or 4 other groups of similar size in our office. I also collaborate with some scientists at other research institutes and universities. I try and get on with all of them, like in all jobs some are easier to get on with than others! It is important to try and remain professional and respectful of others though, and to try and work together in a safe and considerate way when in the lab together.

I work in a lab with 4-6 other people and it’s quite small so we have to work together to make sure we don’t get in each other’s way!

The research group I work in is massive – there are about 40 of us in total. I get on with most people in the group – the reason why I chose to come to this university is that everybody seemed so friendly when I came on my interview day. Obviously you can’t be best friends with everybody – like you’re not best friends with your entire class at school, but we all respect each other and get on well.

My research project has about 20 people on it. We all get on pretty well but obviously there are some people you get on better with!
