• Question: Is there any ways to ease the pain of an injection?

      We can use local anaesthetics to numb areas before injections. These can come in creams or wipes but are generally only used when the injection is a particularly large needle.

      If the injection is done correctly, it should not hurt at all. Sometime simply looking away helps. Otherwise, if they are extensive injections, then a local anaesthetic works.

      I used to think injections were really painful because I got really scared of them beforehand. Then one day I went to the dentist and she tricked me into having an injection when I had my eyes closed. It really wasn’t that bad. Since then I’ve tried to stay calmer before having injections and they hurt a lot less!
