      Gene therapy might be the clue to preventing Down Syndrome in the future, plus there is amazing work being undertaken on stem-cell research, but this is still early days. A single chromosome holds a vast amount of genetic information to control the development of an embryo….so when missing, it has significant impact on the embryo.
