Plants use a process called photosynthesis to convert carbon dioxide and sunlight into sugars and oxygen. So long as we don’t get rid of all the plants and rain-forests we shouldn’t run out of oxygen.

Our ecosystem has evolved to make sure that carbon dioxide can be converted into oxygen. These are the special conditions that make life, as we know it, exist. The only way that we could run out of oxygen, is, as Daren points out, if we got rid of all the plants. Hopefully we will take care of our planet and never allow that to happen!
