Some scientists in London have been trying to do this by searching for signatures of other universes. They are looking for disk-like patterns in the cosmic microwave background radiation – relic heat radiation left over from the Big Bang – which could provide tell-tale evidence of collisions between other universes and our own. They have not yet arrived at a conclusive answer yet though and are still analysing data.

Our own universe is so massive and we understand very little about it really so looking for other universes is a big challenge! But as Daren says, there are some scientists all over the world who are looking for evidence of universes bumping into each other. One of the current theories on our own universe is that it is constantly expanding out from the Big Bang so if we can observe deviations from this expansion, it might be evidence of our universe bumping into another. I think we are a long way off working out the answer to this question though!
