I like working with school children by going in and running workshops and having conversations about science. I couldn’t do this every day though (it tires me out!) so I have massive respect for those people who do choose to be teachers.

I like research more than I like teaching, so I don’t think I’d become a teacher. I’d be happy to spend some time talking to school students about science though!

I’ve considered being a teacher many times and might still be one in the future. I really enjoy going into schools and running fun lessons, but I’m not sure whether I’d enjoy teaching the boring stuff as well!
My mum’s a teacher and I always used to help her out with her schoolwork when I was growing up (the deal was: if I typed up her worksheets quickly, I’d get to go on the computer!) so I think I’ve been in teacher training for a long time without realising it!
